PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOME: BA/BSc. ECONOMICS HONOURS

 

PSO 1: Deepen analytical and critical thinking skills through an economic lens:

 

Graduates will be able to apply economic theories and models to analyze complex economic issues and challenges in various sectors and contexts.

They will be proficient in identifying and framing relevant research questions, utilizing appropriate data sources and analytical methods to draw evidence-based conclusions.

Graduates will demonstrate critical thinking skills by evaluating the assumptions and limitations of economic models, considering alternative perspectives, and engaging in constructive debate about economic policies and implications.

 

PSO2. Master core quantitative and qualitative research skills in economics:

 

Graduates will be proficient in data analysis techniques, utilizing statistical software and econometric methods to analyze economic data, estimate models, and test hypotheses.

They will possess strong quantitative skills in manipulating, managing, and interpreting economic data for research purposes.

Graduates will be equipped with qualitative research skills, including conducting interviews, surveys, and case studies, to gain deeper insights into economic phenomena and inform their analysis.

 

PSO3. Develop effective communication and presentation skills for economic arguments:

 

Graduates will be able to communicate complex economic concepts and research findings clearly and persuasively to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.

They will be proficient in presenting economic arguments and policy recommendations effectively through written reports, oral presentations, and data visualizations.
